RE: Monster Mash IV, in Paso Robles, on Nov, 7th to 10th, 2008.
They got what they wanted, quick cash. Be diligent but do not fret as you have done all you can now.
Little did they know about the contents of the cart or they would.have taken it and left your purse ;)
Glad your Ok and you are past the adrenelin rush.
RE: Jackson Rancheria, CA Thanksgiving Nov 26th-29th, 2008
French bread is great. There will be about 30 people if everyone shows. As there is always too much food, don't plan on feeding all 30.
As for what day, so far it's looking like Thursday, with leftovers for Friday. Or, it certainly could be Friday as that is when everyone will be there.
Thoughts everyone?
I'm off to Sandy Eggo for 3 days, see y'all on the flip side.
RE: 30 amp plug-50 amp genny?
30A breaker for the 30 plug
20A for the standard duplex.
Why? Well would you want to push 30A through 20A circuit wire before it trips, no; So it has 20A.
RE: Jackson Rancheria, CA Thanksgiving Nov 26th-29th, 2008
Molly girl, sorry for the loss of the leg, you'll be walking on 3 with no problem. Swimming might be a challenge, circles till Eva steers you straight.
Dawn, Welcome to the thread. Glad everyone gave you a warm welcome, as always.
Just got back from the ranch camping, nice rain Friday night, slept very well. did my every third weekend dump, all set to go back in two weeks. No camping next weekend as Caitlin turns 14, and she would much rather be with her friends, go figure....
RE: Pfeiffer Big Sur SP closed....alternatives for Thanksgiving?
How about Pismo beach, what is that state park next to Pismo coast village? Many sites have shade, next to the beach, lots of walks on the beach. But, it is near town.
Lake San Antonio?
We will be camping up in the Gold country at our Thanksgiving rally with 12 of our fellow RV.netter's

RE: CAN CA. BEAT OREGON ?
The lower Oregon coast, only Monterey comes close, maybe beats it.
CA as a whole, beats Oregon. Sure is something for everyone. But we sure love Oregon too, tough call.
Wow, tall order. I certainly would not miss Tahoe, the gold country, and the coast. But, I have to say, the Oregon coast is much prettier, but more developed, slightly.
How to do this vast, varied state with as little criss crossing as possible is a challenge.
The northern redwoods are world famous. Eureka is a fairly large old wood/fishing town. (Samoa cook house is an experience
Maybe then over to Mt. Lassen and Bumpass sulpur trail, and well as Burney Falls?
Then up to Lake Tahoe North and south, with a side trip to Carson/Virgina city by car?
Then the gold country and it's old beauty, history, and caves?
Yosemite, with a day trip to Sequoia NP?
Then back to San Francisco, maybe stay in Half Moon bya and drive up?
Then down the coast to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and camping up in the Felton area?
Further down to Monterey and it's aquarium/spectacular world class scenery, Carmel, 17 mile drive etc.
Then down to Hearst Castle in San Simeon.
Pismo Coast village during the week, book early.
Santa Barbara and it's old Spanish mission.
Ventura county and all it's parks etc. Jalama Beach, county campground I think.
Also, if you are around, in the gold country at Thanksgiving come join us for an American Thanksgiving RV rally. We have plenty of Turkeys and pies.

RE: Tide pools in N. CA
It would be easier to go to the Sonoma coast.
Doran park, Good RV park too, we threw a bunch of star fish back into the sea. Plus, safer than the ocean coast. Too many walk along the beach and get washed out to sea by sleeper waves.
RE: Forums will be down Saturday AM
Fall camping in a light shower (first rain in months), the cure for no forumitis.
Just have it back up by Sunday night ;)
RE: Monster Mash IV, in Paso Robles, on Nov, 7th to 10th, 2008.
If you need a response from them for a commitment, send them a PM. To berate someone for not posting may just drive them away.
They just want to camp, hang out with friends, not idly chit chat about nothing all day.
Others enjoy the chit chat and camaraderie, and Picture boy.
